The next opportunity to take the Chemistry Placement Exams will be during the first week of the Spring term. Register for the exam here. A limited number of extra exams will be available for walk-ups. Please bring a *NON-GRAPHING* scientific calculator. All other relevant reference materials (forumulas, et. al) will be provided to you at the exam.
Please note: If you have already taken a placement exam and did not pass you may NOT retake the exam.

Preparing for the Chemistry Placement Exam
These exams will cover material from Chem101 and 102 at the same level of difficulty as presented at Penn.
The exam questions will range from concept-oriented to problems requiring a specific numerical solution. Although there may be some "multiple choice" questions, many problems will not be multiple choice and will require all work to be written on the exam.
To prepare for the exams you should review material from the following text:
Chem101: Chapters 1 through 5, 12, 13, 14, 16.
Chem102: Chapters 6 through 11, and 15.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the exam and bring your PennCard for check-in.
