Gary Molander to be next Department Chair

Gary Molander, Hirschmann-Makineni Professor of Chemistry will be the next Chemistry Department Chair beginning July 1, 2009.
Gary replaces Marsha Lester who served as Chair since 2005.

We are pleased to announce that Dr. Joseph Subotnik has joined Penn Chemistry! Joe comes to Penn from Tel Aviv University where he served as a NSF International Research Postdoctoral Fellow. Joe's appointment will begin in July of 2010. Welcome Joe!

Michael L. Klein, Hepburn Professor of Physical Science, Physical and Theoretical Chemistry and Director of LRSM, is retiring from the University of Pennsylvania in June 2009.
We thank Mike for over twenty years of service to the Department of Chemistry and the University of Pennsylvania. We wish him success in his retirement and future endeavors.
