Andrea Liu and Cherie Kagan (Electrical and Systems Engineering) have joined Penn Chemistry as secondary faculty appointments!
Prof. Liu, the Edmund J. and Louise W. Kahn Term Professor in the Natural Sciences, holds a primary appointment in the Department of Physics. Her long-term interests range from jamming in glassforming liquids, foams, and granular materials, to biophysical self-assembly in actin structures and other systems.
Prof. Kagan holds appointments in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering and Department of Materials Science and Engineerin. Her current focus is on electron conduction through molecules and how the chemical bonding within the molecule and in its attachment to electrodes affects conduction.
