NBIC Research Excellence Award Lecture - Naomi Halas

The Nano/Bio Interface Center at the University of Pennsylvania is
pleased to announce that the 2008 winner of the NBIC Research Excellence
Award in Naomi Halas from Rice University. Naomi is responsible for the
development of a new field in nanophotonics in which new composite
nanoparticles are designed for application in energy harvesting and
biomedicine.

Prof Halas will be presenting the capstone event of NanoDay@Penn: a
public lecture October 29, 2008 at 4:00 pm in in the Wu and Chen
Auditorium.
